New flexibility!
We've heard the overwhelming requests for more flexibility when it comes to the game's HTML.
- You do not have to use courier/strong code (unless you want to!)
You can if you want to, but you can also just type normally as long as you USE TEXT COLORS ON PESTERCHUM/TROLLIAN. That means you can type like this:

- You do not need to worry about the bulletin/memo coding (unless you want to!)
That's right, you can choose to drop most of the coding concerning opening bulletin boards and posting memos.

Player: Admire * Memo, * IM, * Action.
* Action is for in person interactions such as being on the same planet and talking face to face.
* Memo is for anything online that’s public.
* IM is for one on one conversations with people. This includes if you roleplay over Pesterchum and want to post the logs!
Please use one of these three tags- As we’re dropping a lot of the context HTML, it’s vitally important to understanding what’s happening in your post!
- YOU MUST STILL USE SECOND PERSON NARRATION FOR ACTIONS.
You must put all actions in second person narration. You cannot do otherwise.
[But you can frame it like this] or *you can can frame it like this* (or neither) if that is your preference.
- The glitch did it.
Homestuck is a fairly meta canon: just think of all those broken walls and the introduction of alt text. Characters are welcoming to notice that their posts look different, that font errors are being made or otherwise, and they can explain it as being the glitch messing with things.
- Apps remain the same.
Courier is still required for applications where asked for; formatting for threads might be cumbersome, but there is plenty of time to check that your formatting is correct for apps.
We hope this strikes a good compromise, and we thank everyone for their patience in the first month of this game!
